The film Team Mičánek: Champions’ Journey, which chronicles last year’s story of Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra, has had its public premiere. Sold-out audiences in Brno and Bratislava witnessed Bronislav Formánek and Štefan Rosina’s quest for the European title in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe.
Hundreds of the team’s fans first saw the 45-minute documentary in Brno, and two days later, Slovak driver Štefan Rosina’s fans and partners were treated to their premiere. Both events were complemented by discussions with the protagonists of the successful season – alongside the two drivers, team manager Jiří Mičánek Jr. and Josef Záruba, who alongside Jakub Knoll also claimed the Central European circuit championship, spoke with the moderators.
„With the two titles we won, the 2024 season was exceptional for us. It was fantastic to see that this story also entertained the hundreds of people who came to the cinema,” praised Jiří Mičánek. The Brno screening was packed to the last seat, and Bratislava was nearly full as well, where Slovak rapper Momo also performed at the premiere.
The documentary, which gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the team and openly addresses the challenges they faced in their battle for the title, has now attracted interest from other productions.
“Currently, the film is available on the iDNES.cz portal, where Premium subscribers can watch it,” explained Jiří Mičánek. The television premiere will take place on Nova Sport 5 on Sunday morning, 15 March. Team Mičánek: Champions’ Journey will serve as a symbolic lead-in to the live broadcast of this year’s first Formula 1 race.
“We are also negotiating film rights with nationwide broadcasters in Slovakia,” added Mičánek. For the general public, the film will be available in the second half of March on the YouTube channel of the parent team, Buggyra Racing.
