How is victory born in the world’s most prestigious and toughest cup series? This is explored in the documentary chronicling Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra’s season, in which the duo Bronislav Formánek and Štefan Rosina claimed the European title in the Pro-AM class.
The new documentary was filmed throughout the entire championship season and offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the team. “We wanted to show our fans the team in its truest form. Viewers will see how the bond between Štefan and Broňek developed, and the changes we had to make in the fight for the title. We weren’t afraid to capture the emotions—both positive and negative,” explained Jiří Mičánek.
The documentary was first screened for the team’s partners. More than 170 people watched the film at Brno’s Cabaret des Péchés. The three-hour programme was hosted for the second time by Lucie Borhyová and Martin Straka, with guests at the premiere including former Miss and model Andrea Verešová.
The approximately 45-minute documentary was created from 300 hours of raw footage and 11 hours of uncut interviews with team members. Filmed throughout the entire season, it captures numerous authentic moments and the emotions that ran through the team, especially towards the end of the season—from the euphoria of victory to the hesitation and tension when the team missed its first opportunity to secure the title.
„Nechtěli jsme oslavný dokument, který vykreslí celou sezónu v růžových barvách. Rozhovory s jezdci jsou záměrně vedené trochu konfrontačně, tak aby se do nich promítly emoce a byly maximálně autentické,“ vysvětluje Jiří Mičánek.
The commentary for the documentary was recorded by Pavel Rímský, a distinguished voice actor who, among others, lends his voice to Sylvester Stallone. Several professionals worked on the final version of the film from early December until its February premiere.
The film follows three storylines experienced by Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra in 2024. It chronicles the successful title fight in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe by the duo Formánek–Rosina, complemented by the journey of the junior pairing Jáchym Galáš–Matěj Pavlíček. Viewers also witness the story of another championship win, secured in the Central European circuit series by Jakub Knoll and Josef Záruba.
„This was the third time we’ve presented the film, and once again we’ve pushed it further—in length, content, and quality. Based on the initial feedback from our partners and guests, we’ve succeeded,” says Jiří Mičánek. The public will be able to watch the film within a few weeks, and during the spring, it will also be broadcast by a national television channel.
Mičánek Motorsport claimed the European championship title in their sixth season competing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. With an average of 44 cars on the grid, the series is extremely demanding, now dominated by professional and semi-professional crews.
„Winning the 2024 title was several times more challenging than it was just a few years ago. The key to our success—besides sheer speed—was finishing every race, scoring points, and avoiding mistakes. We managed to do that thanks to perfectly prepared machinery and drivers who complemented each other both on track and personally. We also had a bit of luck—earlier, we often suffered from collisions that weren’t our fault, costing us valuable points. This year, we finished every race,” outlines Jiří Mičánek, highlighting the factors behind their success.
