A traditional event with its customary thrill. That’s the Supermoto race winding through the narrow streets of Moravský Krumlov’s historic centre. Once again, it will feature exhibition runs by the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team.
Behind the wheel of the pair of Lamborghini Huracán ST EVO2s, as always, are team boss Jiří Mičánek Jr. and Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe series driver Bronislav Formánek. “Our goal is clear – to put on the best possible show for the fans and to bring the cars home in one piece,” laughs Jiří Mičánek. The circuit runs through the historic heart of the town, partly over old cobblestones, which can throw up a host of surprises for the supercars. “One challenge is that the stones are slippery, the other is that they’re uneven,” explains Jiří Mičánek, who, together with his team, is entertaining the Moravský Krumlov crowd for the third time – ever since the race moved from Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou to its current location. Even in its original venue, the pair of nationally liveried Huracáns were a regular fixture.
For the spectators, the excitement won’t stop with the races alone. Event organiser Tomáš Ševčík has transformed the original motorcycle competition into a two-day festival, keeping the crowd entertained from morning until evening. This year promises much the same. The Special Brothers team will bring their motorcycle stunt show to Krumlov, fans will get a close-up look at the 3RCZ team’s rallycross buggy powered by a Porsche 911 GT3 RS engine, and Czech car manufacturer SIGMA will also showcase its vehicles. “On Saturday, once the race programme concludes, people can enjoy MMA bouts right in the square, with DJ Pawouček providing music throughout the weekend,” Ševčík explains. The event will culminate in a Saturday after-party. Within the racing programme itself, three categories of machines will compete – two supermotard classes, complemented as usual by an ATV race.
„Whether in Krumlov or previously in Hrušovany, we come for the fantastic atmosphere. For me, it’s one of the highlights of the season, a chance to meet thousands of fans off the track. And because we’re only doing an exhibition, we have plenty more time to take photos and chat with them. So for anyone wanting to get up close to our cars, this is a truly unique opportunity,” invites the team manager of Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra.
The Lamborghini exhibitions are scheduled for Saturday at 11:15, again after 2:00 pm, and at the end of the programme, around 4:30 pm.
