Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra is preparing for the second round of the FIA CEZ Central European circuit championship. The team will once again field their cars in both sprint and endurance races. In endurance, Jakub Knoll and Josef Záruba will aim for a second victory, while Libor Dvořáček looks to improve on his third-place finish from Balaton Park in the sprint races.

„We’re heading to a circuit we really like, with plenty of data at our disposal, and the Huracáns perform brilliantly here. Our goal is to either match or improve on the results from Balaton Park,” recalls team manager Jiří Mičánek Jr., reflecting on the successful start to the season.

Two cars have once again headed to Austria. Libor Dvořáček will drive one in the sprint races, while Jakub Knoll and Josef Záruba will share the cockpit of the second car in the endurance race. For Jakub Knoll, returning to the pairing with Josef Záruba after five years, this is a race he is genuinely looking forward to. “The Red Bull Ring is my favourite circuit, not just for this season’s championship, but globally. The same goes historically for Lamborghini, which here has the chance to compete with the GT3s,” says Knoll.

Josef Záruba confirms this, noting that the duo will aim to build on their victory at Balaton Park in their category, while also focusing on the prestigious overall classification, even though it isn’t officially ranked or points-based. “In Hungary, we just missed out on fourth place, so we’d certainly like to move into the top three here,” says Záruba. He is also looking forward to the second race with Knoll. “We gelled really well in Hungary, as if that five-year break never happened. Combine that with a fast circuit where we have a power advantage over the GT3s, and it could work out. Although we lost some time on Thursday due to track conditions, we have plenty of data from previous visits, so it won’t be a handicap,” he adds.

Libor Dvořáček will be targeting a better result in the GTC category than he achieved at Balaton Park. There, second place slipped through his fingers in the final quarter of the race following a mistake that sent him spinning. He’ll be looking to avoid that this time. “It’s a good circuit that suits us, and unlike Balaton Park, I know it well. On the other hand, our rivals will be in a similar position,” says the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra driver.

The weekend at the Red Bull Ring will conclude a six-week stretch of consecutive races for the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team. In addition to the mentioned weekend in Hungary, the team has already contested two rounds of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, securing one victory and two second-place finishes, as well as two hill climb weekends, where Jiří Mičánek claimed four podiums, including two wins.
