The final event of the Czech hill climb season was dominated by the Lamborghini Huracán driven by Jiří Mičánek. The Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team principal won the second run of the event and finished second in the first.
“It’s a fantastic way for us to wrap up the domestic season here at the Masaryk Circuit. We were expecting to fight for the top spot in our class, but the battle for the overall lead gave Sunday a whole new edge,” said Jiří Mičánek after the contest that earned him victory over the entire field. Across the weekend, only one driver — in a single-seater — managed a quicker time. Mičánek’s commanding triumph among the GT cars was then crowned with an outright win in the second race.
The final round of this year’s hill climb season was also shaped by unpredictable, almost April-like weather. While the morning runs were held under sunshine on a drying track, the afternoon saw the field racing against the clock as rain showers swept through. Jiří Mičánek made the most of the changing conditions, clocking a 1:12.40 on the reverse layout of the Masaryk Circuit to secure overall victory.
“Our goal was to confirm our dominance in our class, so taking the outright win was the icing on the cake,” said Mičánek. “For me personally, the Brno weekend had everything — exciting racing and plenty of opportunities to meet our partners who came to support us on home soil,” he concluded.
The home-season finale doesn’t mark the end of the 2025 campaign for the team. In just a week’s time, Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra will head to the final round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, where the duo of Bronislav Formánek and Štefan Rosina will also compete for top honours in the prestigious series’ World Final.
