One of Europe’s most exciting young talents, Anthony Pretorius, will be joined by the experienced pairing of Jakub Knoll and Filip Sládečka as they represent Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra in the Central European Zone Championship at Most.
The event marks the team’s first home appearance of the 2026 season. This year, however, the primary focus has been on Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, where Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra returned with a two-car programme. At the halfway point of the campaign, both crews lead their respective classes. “We’ll use the race at Most primarily as preparation for the second half of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo season, where we’re fighting for the European title in both the Pro-AM and AM categories. For Anthony and Kuba, these will be valuable race kilometres that will help them stay sharp during the long break between rounds,” said team manager Jiří Mičánek.
Pretorius, in particular, is expected to attract plenty of attention. Despite making his first appearance at the Most circuit, one of the most highly rated young drivers on the current European scene will be aiming to make an immediate impact.
“I’ve never raced at Most before, although that’s the case with many European circuits for me. Before the weekend I’ve only had time for a few laps on the simulator and to study some onboard footage. The most important thing, though, is that I’ll be back behind the wheel after a month away and able to get some mileage under my belt,” said the 19-year-old South African.
Just a month ago, Pretorius and Bronislav Formánek secured Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra’s first-ever overall victory in the prestigious Lamborghini Super Trofeo championship. “Anthony’s performances this season have confirmed what many already believed: he’s one of the most talented and quickest drivers of the younger generation in Europe. I’m sure the fans will also enjoy seeing a fresh face on the grid. Most is almost a home race for us, the atmosphere is fantastic and there are always plenty of spectators. This year is different because we’re not tied up in a title fight here, which means we can simply enjoy the weekend with the fans even more,” added Jiří Mičánek.
Pretorius will contest the sprint races, while the endurance event will see the team field the Czech-Slovak pairing of Jakub Knoll and Filip Sládečka. Knoll returns to a championship in which he claimed back-to-back Czech titles in 2024 and 2025. “I’m pleased to use this weekend to break up the gap in our schedule. I see it as an ideal training outing ahead of the next Super Trofeo round at the Nürburgring. I’m also looking forward to racing on home soil again and returning to one of my favourite circuits. And, of course, to sharing a car with Filip, the last time we raced together was actually when we were competing against each other two years ago,” recalled Knoll, referring to the Brno finale in 2024.
That weekend saw Knoll and Josef Záruba complete a successful title-winning campaign, although it was Sládečka and Bronislav Formánek who came out on top in the race itself. For Sládečka, the event will mark a return to racing action after almost a year away from the cockpit. “Most is a fantastic circuit and one of the few that still retains a real old-school, natural character. That’s something I really enjoy. I’m also looking forward to working professionally with Jura Mičánek. Kuba is a very experienced driver, so I believe we have every chance of achieving a strong result,” said the Slovak racer.
The Saturday schedule features the opening sprint race at 13:35, followed by the endurance race at 17:35. The weekend concludes on Sunday with the second sprint race, which gets underway at 13:55. Fans can watch all races live via the GT Cup Series YouTube channel.
