Four races, four wins. So far this season, Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra has been flawless. Following the team’s two victories in the GT2 European Series, team manager Jiří Mičánek Jr. added his own triumph in the Czech Hill Climb Championship race at Náměšť nad Oslavou.

Jiří Mičánek confirmed the team’s flawless record in the final Sunday heat. While he had dominated on Saturday, the start of the second race day was complicated by rain for both the team manager and driver. “The first heat was run partly in dry conditions and partly wet. I decided to go out on slicks, while other drivers chose wet tyres. It was a gamble, but in the end, it paid off,” Jiří Mičánek described the dramatic Sunday start.

In his group, he also had to compete against all-wheel-drive cars, which naturally had a technical advantage in wet conditions. “The key was how the afternoon would go and whether another shower would arrive,” explained Jiří Mičánek. The slowest time of the day is dropped from the results, and on dry sections, the Huracán ST EVO2 piloted by the team principal found no rival.

Richard Meixner finished second in Group 2 on both Saturday and Sunday, while Karel Stehlík took third, both driving Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X cars.

By the end of Sunday, Jiří Mičánek could place two trophies for first place atop his car, finishing ninth overall and leaving several formula cars behind. “The car was perfectly prepared, and the team did an outstanding job,” praised the team manager of Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra. Hundreds of fans visited his paddock over both days in Náměšť. “They deserve thanks just as much as the team. They create a unique atmosphere at hill climb events that’s hard to experience at a circuit,” Mičánek added.

As May approaches, the team has already completed two race weekends and four races – and their record remains flawless. In mid-April, Bronislav Formánek and Štefan Rosina claimed victory in the opening round of the GT2 European Series, and now Jiří Mičánek has followed up with two wins of his own. “In the next three weeks, we have three more events ahead. GT2 continues, and on the same weekend the Central European Championship season kicks off, where Jakub Knoll and Josef Záruba are defending their title. Then, just a week later, we’ll be back on the hill climbs,” Mičánek outlined.
