Two of Bologna’s most iconic brands, Ducati and Lamborghini, will come together in Brno as part of a special exhibition celebrating 100 years of Ducati. Alongside an exceptional retrospective of the legendary motorcycle manufacturer, visitors will also be able to explore a unique display by Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra.
Staged at the former Wannieck Gallery industrial hall next to Galerie Vaňkovka shopping centre, the exhibition will showcase 70 Ducati motorcycles spanning the marque’s rich history, alongside two Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo race cars. For the occasion, Mičánek Motorsport has created an entirely new exhibition concept that goes far beyond simply displaying racing machinery.
“Our new display may surprise a few people. Of course, visitors will see our Huracán Super Trofeo EVO, but alongside it we’ll also exhibit a stripped-down chassis and an exposed V10 engine from the car,” explains Jiří Mičánek Jr., team manager of Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra.
“Both exhibits are completely authentic, and both are linked to races at Brno. We want to show fans the side of motorsport that usually remains hidden, but which is very much part of the sport,” says Mičánek. Each exhibit is accompanied by a QR code linking to a video explaining the incidents that led to their dramatic condition. “For engineering enthusiasts, it’s also a unique chance to see what Lamborghini technology looks like beneath the surface,” he adds.
The second half of the display recreates the team’s race garage exactly as it appears at championship events. Inside sits a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO, with visitors invited to step inside the garage and inspect the car from every angle.
The exhibition also offers another attraction for motorsport fans. Visitors who have not yet seen the documentary Team Mičánek: Two Years, Two Titles, previously broadcast on Nova Sport 5, will have the opportunity to watch the award-winning one-hour film, which will be screened several times each day in the exhibition’s cinema.
Spread across 900 square metres, the Ducati 100 Years exhibition features 70 motorcycles from throughout the Italian manufacturer’s history, ranging from the original Cucciolo motor-assisted bicycle through production and racing machines from the second half of the 20th century to modern MotoGP bikes. Special attention is also given to Ducati’s limited-edition collaborations, including its partnership with Lamborghini. Visitors will be able to see two Lamborghini-inspired limited-production motorcycles on display: the Ducati Streetfighter Lamborghini and the Ducati Diavel Lamborghini.
The exhibition runs until 29 July and is open daily from 11:00 to 19:00. Tickets are available on the door or at a discounted advance price via the official exhibition website.
