A race the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team is eagerly anticipating – the fourth round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe series gets underway this weekend at the legendary Nürburgring. The team’s four drivers were already testing in Germany on Monday.

„With each car, we covered around 200 kilometres, everything went according to plan, and even though these were just tests, we were quick. The cars are working well, and the drivers are in a positive mood,” summed up team manager Jiří Mičánek Jr., reflecting on the tests and the atmosphere ahead of the fourth round of the prestigious series.

Both crews will be looking to build on their strong results from Le Mans at the Nürburgring. The pairing of Bronislav Formánek and Štefan Rosina brought back an excellent third place and still leads the Pro-AM category, while Jáchym Galáš and Matěj Pavlíček finished in the top ten in the PRO class for the first time.

While Le Mans was largely unknown territory for the team, Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra heads to the Nürburgring with memories of strong results from previous years. It was here that Bronislav Formánek – last year partnered with Karol Basz – scored his first podium of the season. “This is a race I’ve been looking forward to all season. I love this track, we’ve done plenty of training here, so we’ll definitely be aiming to challenge the strongest rivals, including those in the PRO category,” predicts Bronislav Formánek ahead of the weekend.

Štefan Rosina is also looking forward to the fourth round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. It was here, back in 2012, that he achieved his best result in a Gallardo GT3 in the FIA GT1 series. “We’re heading to the Nürburgring leading the championship, and I’ll do everything I can to stay on top,” says Rosina.

The junior pairing of Jáchym Galáš and Matěj Pavlíček focused during testing primarily on perfecting a “flawless” lap. Both drivers know that success in the fourth round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe series will hinge largely on a strong qualifying performance. “We already tested here in the spring, so I’ll want to make the most of knowing the circuit. There will be lots of cars on track again, so it will be very important to find space among them and put in one really fast lap. If we manage that, I believe we can be somewhere around the top ten in qualifying,” says Jáchym Galáš.

In recent weeks, Matěj Pavlíček has been working step by step to refine his driving technique and bring his lap times closer to those of his team-mate. “I know there are aspects of my driving style I can improve, so with my coach Pepa Záruba, we’ve been focusing on individual steps to make progress. After the tests, I can say I feel very comfortable in the car now, and I think I’m well prepared,” says Pavlíček.

The drivers’ ambitions are echoed by Jiří Mičánek. “This is a race we’re all looking forward to, and the drivers are rightly confident. All four of them posted very strong times in testing, and we have to hope for a standard weekend, free of any extraordinary incidents – whether accidents, safety car deployments, or weather,” says the team manager, adding that the primary goal is to extend the streak of races in which Formánek and Rosina currently lead the championship. “Ideally, we’ll want to increase our narrow lead in the series,” Jiří Mičánek outlined the team’s ambitions for the Nürburgring weekend.
