To confirm his place among the top drivers in the Czech hill climb scene. That’s the goal Jiří Mičánek Jr. brings to Náměšť nad Oslavou for the second round of this year’s hill climb season. Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra will be defending last year’s second-place finishes.

„In a way, this is another home race for us, with a great atmosphere, tradition, and plenty of fans. The series moves from the circuit to the streets, where the sense of speed for the drivers is completely different,” says Jiří Mičánek, who will be competing on the famous Zámecký Hill for the fourth consecutive time. He has never finished lower than second.

„If the race runs normally, that’s the maximum we can achieve with a car primarily built for circuits,” Jiří Mičánek notes, highlighting that the team’s main focus is on the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe series.

From a timing perspective, the benchmark for Jiří Mičánek will once again be around one minute. In 2022, he managed to beat it, placing himself among the elite of the famous hill climb. He completed the 2,030-metre track, with a 106-metre elevation gain, in 59.84 seconds.

The two-day racing programme for the 43rd edition of the Náměšť nad Oslavou hill climb kicks off at 8:00 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Competitive runs are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, and on Sunday at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. A total of 120 cars are entered across the Czech Championship rounds and the popular Maverick Hill Climb event.
