Josef Záruba is a Czech racing driver, currently competing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe with Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra. He previously raced in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC series. Under the management of team principal Jiří Mičánek, he also took part in the Northern European Cup with a Spanish team in 2014 and 2015.
He began his motorsport journey at a young age in karting, competing alongside Bronislav Formánek, who would later become his teammate in the Radical European Masters and the European R-Cup. The duo remains racing partners to this day. Later, with Mičánek Motorsport, they jointly claimed the endurance racing championship behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo.
At the end of the 2013 season, he took his first steps into Formula Renault 2000. His strong performances earned him a place in the Northern European Cup and the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. In his debut year, he claimed a pole position and reached the podium in a race at the Nürburgring. In his second season, consistent performances saw him challenging for a place in the top ten of the overall standings.
In the 2021 season, he returned alongside Bronislav Formánek to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, and together they secured third place overall in the Pro-AM class.
